The bad: slow delivery. Despite the fact that when I made the order the delay was 5-7 days for one of the item, I received the package almost a month later. Hi. I was expecting to do some work on the axe, since I already bought another Rinaldi axe and had to change the edge profile and sharpen that one. So I expected that. The biggest problem with the axe was that the handle was fitted before the wood was properly dry, and therefore it was loose. The eye of the axe was also too sharp, and because of that, and the fact that the handle wasn’t shaped to fit properly, the axe eye had started to damage the handle. I took it apart and adressed the problems, but I think you should be aware of this and forward my criticism to Rinaldi. But after I adjusted the problems, I liked the axe a lot. I do however have some problems with the hardening of the edge, it seems a bit too soft to me.
